How to use DPC and why it is the only best solution to get rid of unwanted moisture on walls
Walls tend to capture moisture with time due to rain or ground water management system. It ends up reducing the value of home and making both the interiors and exterior look tacky and smell bad. People end up spending hefty amounts on re-coating walls with Plaster of Paris (POP) and paint which is absolutely of no use. The moisture tends to increase with time and spread all across the wall from bottom to top. Instead of repainting and re-coating the walls, one must try using Damp Proof cream(DPC) on their moisture captured walls and get rid of this problem once and for all.
Building Materials Reporter(BMR) has brought to a guide on how to use DPC and why it is the only best solution to get rid of unwanted moisture on walls. Follow the steps and get rid of stinky walls.
Remove the salty plaster:

Walls with high moisture adapt salt within and form swelling and paint bumps. One must remove all the plaster from the walls first and only then the salt, capturing moisture will be removed for further process. Remove salty plaster both indoors and outdoors for better use of DPC and to perfect the walls neatly.
Drill the damp walls:

Start drilling the wall from the bottom from where the dampness in the wall starts. Make holes in walls about 12mm deep from inside and outside as well, or drill the wall depending on the depth of the wall from inside and outside of the house. There should be 120MM space between two adjacent holes so that DPC can be applied properly.
Inject DPC in walls:

Once the wall drilling is done, start installing DPC using a DPC gun. Place the nozzle within the holes and press the clutch of the DPC gun. Spread it evenly in all the holes in wall. The DPC cream migrates and penetrates the walls and absorbs all the moisture within. The damp is controlled there itself and the DPC resists walls from capturing moisture in future as well.
Re-plaster or refinish the wall:

Re-plaster the walls once you think DPC is dry. This way, you can remodel your walls as well and guess what, you will not have to be worried about getting damps on walls in the future. By re-plastering the wall, you will get rid of any further salt collection within or outside the wall. Make sure to use cement directly to give a smooth and eased finish to the wall.
Ever thought that you can get rid of damp walls this easily? Well, guess you can. Try applying Damp Proofing Cream on walls to easily resist unwanted moisture from the walls.
